JAXA Foundation
On October 1st the foundation of the japanese space agency
JAXA (Japan
Aerospace Exploration Agency) was celebrated.
It was built from the three former organisations NASDA,
ISAS and NAL.
JAXA celebrated this with sushi and rice wine.
The japanese astronaut Chiaki Mukai (STS-65,
STS-95) was talking to the visitors at the JAXA booth.

Symposium on History of Astronautics
This symposium was about the influence of German rocket developments on the history of space flight after World War II,
in the USA, in the USSR, in Great-Britain, in
Australia, and elsewhere.

was speaking about the influence of German rocket scientists on the Soviet Russian space history.
Right: the American space historian Frederick
I. Ordway III was speaking about the German rocket scientists in the USA, from
Fort Bliss and White Sands to Huntsville, and signed the new edition of his book "The Rocket Team".

von Puttkamer was speaking about his time during the Apollo program in Huntsville.
Right: the Romanian cosmonaut Dumitru Prunariu
